Our new training boat is to be launched this week!
Quadra Boats are proud to announce that they are launching a new RYA School Boat this week.
After a season testing a 4.9m RIB from the Valiant range of Rigid Inflatables the school has decided to operate a 5.2m RIB with a 75HP mariner Optimax engine.
Chief Instructor David Perry said "This is a major investment for the Sea School, the Valiant RIBs are excellent and the sea handling is very good.
We will have more room on board for our students and we look forward to our 2009 courses with this new boat"
To see the new boat, call in to Quadra Boats in Neyland.

Happy New Year From the Quadra Team

2009 Is Finally Here!!!!!
As I have been given the task of writing in the Quadra Blog I thought I would introduce my self.
My Names Angharad. I'm what people would describe as the dogs body of the team. I'm 20 years old soon to be 21 at the start of February (WWW Happy Birthday Me!)
I'm a Powerboat instructor and run our Watersports shop by Summer and tea maker by Winter.
I've really been a part of the Quadra team from the start. Every opportunity I could get to come in with my dad to work I would be there.
I was introduced to boating when I was around 5 to 6 years old when my father bought our first boat, a 17ft gts fletcher. I can't really remember much about the boat only that every weekend Id have the best time ever.
As myself and my sister would get older we were introduced to the Towable Toys. Dad would start off with the both of us sitting in the toy doing about 10mph.
These days all he wants to do it to try and get the both of us out of the toy. (He's to much of a Chicken to get in it himself)
But yeah as the years went on we went from a 17ft to a 26 ft. With dad not having that much experience in boating he decided it was time to do an RYA Powerboat course, so I tagged along. I even got 2 days off school to do it when I was only 10 years old.
I loved every minute of it. Sitting in the class room learning about all the different buoys,(now ladies not boys) The best part of the course for me was when I got to driving the boat. (I'm a little bit of a speed freak!) We both learn a lot about how to handle a boat.
Moving on then. Dad decided to start a boating business.
I was in year 10 when he started, and I knew there and then I wanted to be apart of it. I just wanted to finish school and do what I always wanted to do, work in our family business.
When I finished school finally I joined the team full time.
Last year in April i qualified as an RYA instructor. Like I tell all my students I'll pass them if they buy me a box of chocolate. :D Seriously.:D Na I'm kidding but the chocolate might help a little.
I'm a big chocolate fan. If anyone has any chocolate that needs to be eaten give it to me and it will be gone in about 5 seconds.
It's the best thing I've done joining the team. I have meet so many different people, either taking them out on demo's, talking to them in the shop or when away at boat shows. To teaching. So far its been brilliant.
Ok enough about me
Here's what I'm going to do:
For the next 12 months I will be updating you on what we all get up to. Please feel free to reply to some of my posts as I would love to know what you think.

Welcome to Quadra Boats Watersports Blog!

Our blog is now live and it's just in time for all you watersports enthusiasts...
...summer is here!
Whether you are new to wakeboarding or water skiing or it is simply your favourite passtime, why not give us a call.
The Quadra Watersports School offers something different and fun to do - whether you are a beginner, old hand or just need a bit more tuition our experienced staff can cater for your needs. Quadra Watersports School also offers an ideal location for parties and offers a wide range of activities with excellent facilities.
All equipment is provided (wet suits may be hired) and to add to the fun we also have a range of inflatable toys! If you like to experience going fast and getting wet, wakeboarding lessons or Water Skiing Lessons are for you. After that initial wobble, you will soon be up on your feet and flying along, crossing the wake, starting to pop your first jumps or easing yourself into a mono binding.
If you are more experienced at wakeboarding / water skiing, give yourself some extra experience behind the boat to perfect that back-flip with intermediate Wakeboarding Lessons. If you want an easy to learn sport that will give you hours of fun then give wakeboarding lessons a go.
Watersports School For Groups
Quadra Watersports School can also cater for groups. If you are a school, a youth group leader or a group of friends planning a holiday and want to try something new whilst you are away, we can arrange tailor-made water skiing and wakeboarding lessons to give your group the best watersports experience possible.
